Teaching Artist

Horacio Martínez has worked as a teaching artist for cultural and educational organizations across New York City, including Carnegie Hall's Big Note Little Note program, Boys' Club of New York, Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education, Saint Peter's Church, and community-based arts initiatives throughout the city.

His teaching practice combines music performance, choir leadership, improvisation, composition, songwriting, storytelling, and cultural exploration, drawing from Latin American musical traditions, jazz, and contemporary music.

​

Horacio has taught students ranging from early childhood programs to teenagers and adults, leading instrumental ensembles, choirs, songwriting workshops, and creative music-making experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, confidence, and self-expression through music.
